About Fedora:

Fedora is a Linux distribution developed by the Fedora Project, which is a community supported group and it is owned by Red Hat.

Fedora contains free and open source software and tries to be on the leading edge of these technologies. The Fedora team tries to focus on innovation, early integration of new technologies and tries to work closely with Linux communities.

Its default desktop environment is GNOME and it does a great job of integrating it seamlessly with the rest of the OS but many more are available to the user.

Fedora is very easy to set up and to get familiar with and it doesn't tend to get old as Debian systems often do, which is why it is the choice of distro for Linus Torvalds, the founder of the Linux kernel.
